Help growing sunflower seeds?
I bought some sunflower seeds the other day at wal mart the pack says skyscraper sunflower seeds. I never really have grown anything so i wanted to try some sun flowers seeds. My dad has grown things before but never sunflower seed but i bought them monday and its Wednesday now and i have had them in germination ever since monday but i was going grow them inside from 2 florescent bulbs until frost warning were gone and they were at least a foot tall but please give ma any pointers and what to do they will be appreciated...........Thank You
Sunflowers just don't seem to like starting off indoors. They need strong light from the beginning. Sow seed outdoors when weather permits in early spring - right where they are expected to grow. Any average garden soil will do so long as they are planted in sunshine and are kept reasonably moist.
